Best enclosed litter box
We foster so litter boxes are serious business in my home. Clay is bad stuff so we only use plant-based litters and all suffer some degree of scatter. Enclosed boxes minimize scatter, mostly, but some of our cats were adverse to using the classic front-entry style for various reasons. One of those reasons is a precocious tuxedo who likes to sit on an enclosed box while someone is using it and swat at them through the door. She stopped that behaviour with the top-entry boxes as the cat inside can more easily swat back and she started losing battles. A couple of our cats like to squat tall which they could not do in even the biggest front-entry box but these allow them to poke their heads out the top. Best of all, my proud, geriatric tortie with only partially functioning hind quarters uses these. While scrambling in and out of typical front-entry boxes was difficult, little miss upper body strength has no trouble lowering herself into or hoisting herself out of these. We have another brand's top-entry box that she struggled with because the holes on top are too small to let her front paws grip. She has her choice of two low, topless boxes, a puppy pad tray, and her original Booda ball box with internal ramp and she still chooses these top-entry ones most often so she is not being forced to exert herself for my litter box preference.
